Like: Condie Rice for NFL Commissioner
The NFL's mishandling of the Ray Rice woman battering should not end with Rice's exile from the league.
The NFL has slowly come to the realization that the original two game suspension was a travesty. You get a four game ban for using marijuana. You get kicked off the team if you bully a minority teammate using bad words.
If the NFL was really serious about sending a message that hitting a woman is unacceptable, it would have suspended San Francisco defensive lineman Ray McDonald who was arrested last week for felony domestic violence. There is no video yet, so it must be okay for him to play, even though his pregnant girlfriend had a bruised neck and arms.
Even worse, Carolina defensive end Greg Hardy was CONVICTED of assaulting his girlfriend and even threatening to kill her. He's still playing because he is appealing the decision. Hello?
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has provided unacceptable leadership and extremely poor judgement.
American's favorite sport deserves a better commissioner. Who better than former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice? Rice has long said being NFL Commissioner would be her dream job.
I can't think of a wiser, more capable individual to restore some values and character to the damaged NFL brand. There is no place for men to beat women.
Let's have less Ray Rice and more Condie Rice.
