Huckabee Right About Gay Choice
Potential presidential candidate Mike Huckabee ruffled some boa feathers when he made a statement a few days ago sharing his belief that a gay lifestyle is a choice, not an uncontrolled destiny.
"People can be my friends who have lifestyles that are not necessarily my lifestyle. I don't shut people out of my circle or out of my life because they have a different point of view. I don't drink alcohol, but gosh -- a lot of my friends, maybe most of them do. You know, I don't use profanity, but believe me, I've got a lot of friends who do. Some people really like classical music and ballet and opera -- it's not my cup of tea."
This comment has got a lot of LGBT activities upset because it challenges one of the big lies they are very successful at promoting. The LGBT community would like everyone to believe that LGBT orientation is beyond anyone's control, on par with race or gender. They want people to believe that if you are LGBT, you are born that way. This is patently false.
It is real easy to prove that an LGBT lifestyle is not genetic. All we have to do is study identical twins. If there was a "gay" gene that made people born that way, both identical twins would be gay 100% of the time. The actual results are not even close.
We also know that men who identify themselves as attracted to other men do not always decide to choose a gay lifestyle. Last month the TLC network ran a program called My Husband's Not Gay. It profiled gay men who choose to marry women instead of pursue same-sex relations. The program created an uproar in the LGBT community and they tried to get the program cancelled before it aired. (So much for diversity and tolerance.)
The strong reaction to any argument that would challenge the "being gay can't be controlled" lie reveals how important it is among LGBT activists for the truth to remain suppressed. It shows how important it is for the LGBT culture that biased and/or ignorant people are to accept this propaganda unchallenged. Being bisexual by definition shows people make choices, not that they are born that way. Also, a significant proportion of people who identify themselves as transgender will later change back to their true gender.
Huckabee is right and should not be treated as a Bible thumping ignoramus. The facts are on his side.
